Because of the significant increase in SC and Chester County’s number of COVID-19 cases and the virus’ impact to our patients, staff, and their families, we have decided to greatly limit foot traffic in the agency between the Thanksgiving and New Year holidays. The following measures will begin Monday, November 30 and remain in effect until Tuesday, January 5:
- Contact with patients, including assessments for new clients and treatment sessions with existing ones, will move to telehealth only, beginning Monday, November 30. If patients are experiencing extreme difficulty, do not have access to technology, or have other needs that require face-to-face time with a counselor, they are encouraged to request this time so appropriate accommodations can be made.
- Between November 30, 2020 and January 5, 2021, all Hazel Pittman Center staff will be rotating work from home and in the office to insure there is adequate coverage but also allow for increased physical distancing between people in our building. Narcan can be picked up by coming to our offices at 130 Hudson Street in Chester during business hours, and individuals are encouraged to call ahead so we can have it ready for them.
On Monday, January 4, the office will be closed for staff training. In-person services (assessments, IOP, group, and individual counseling) will resume on Tuesday, January 5.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone at 803-377-8111. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
