Business Manager
Hazel Pittman Center is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Manager to oversee the administrative, financial, and operational functions of our organization. This leadership role is essential to ensuring the agency’s financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and efficient internal operations.
The Business Manager works closely with executive leadership, clinical leadership, external partners, and staff to support the organization’s mission while maintaining strong business systems and accountability.
What You’ll Do
Financial & Contract Management
- Oversee all aspects of the agency’s financial management system in accordance with policies and procedures
- Monitor Medicaid contracts and other funding source deliverables to ensure accurate and timely submission
- Prepare bank deposits and oversee payables, receivables, and payroll vouchers
- Coordinate timely exchange of financial and operational information with the accounting firm, banks, auditors, county officials, and OSUS
- Support audits, financial reviews, and reporting requirements
Compliance & Operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and accreditation standards
- Maintain accurate personnel, privileging, and administrative records
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements to strengthen systems and workflows
Human Resources & Personnel Support
- Serve as benefits coordinator for agency personnel
- Coordinate pre-employment processes for prospective employees in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
- Communicate with candidates and supervisors to support an efficient hiring process
- Oversee new employee orientation and administrative onboarding, as appropriate
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in business management, finance, operations, or a related administrative leadership role
- Experience in a regulated environment (healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, or government-funded services strongly preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of payables, receivables, and financial reporting
- QuickBooks experience required
- Ability to interpret financial data and support informed decision-making
