Treatment Director – Outpatient Substance Use Services
Hazel Pittman Center, Chester County’s designated substance use service provider, is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Treatment Director to lead and strengthen our outpatient intervention and treatment services.

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Treatment Director provides administrative and clinical leadership to counselors and peer support staff, ensures high-quality, evidence-based services, and supports a healthy, accountable, and patient-centered treatment environment.
What You’ll Do
As Treatment Director, you will provide leadership across clinical operations while remaining grounded in patient care and staff support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clinical supervision to counselors and peer support specialists
- Coordinate and oversee outpatient treatment and intervention services, including the agency’s Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program
- Ensure services are accessible, effective, compliant, and aligned with best practices
- Support staff through clinical supervision, coaching, training, and professional development
- Monitor documentation, treatment planning, and service delivery to ensure compliance with CARF, Medicaid, licensing, contractual, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), agency planning, and management meetings
- Serve as liaison to OSUS, referral partners, service providers, and community stakeholders
- Represent Hazel Pittman Center in the community and provide education on substance use disorders and treatment services
- Provide direct clinical services to patients as needed, including assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention
- Play a lead role in preparation for CARF accreditation and ongoing compliance efforts
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field
- LPC or LISW licensure preferred
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Clinical Supervisor certification
- Experience supervising clinical staff, preferably in substance use disorder treatment
- Strong working knowledge of evidence-based practices, regulatory standards, and quality improvement
- Leadership style that is collaborative, accountable, and supportive
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
