Hazel Pittman Center’s success depends largely in part to the involvement of the community. Volunteers are important to us and help us by serving on the Board of Directors, assisting with events and other projects, and by serving on committees. They also provide support for staff and assist in the agency’s prevention, intervention, and treatment programs. For more information about volunteering please contact us.

Hazel Pittman Center often has internship opportunities for Master’s Level students. To inquire about these opportunities, please contact us.

A prospective volunteer or intern must submit a written application, furnish two references, and sign a confidentiality agreement. An interview will be conducted, and orientation and placement will follow if the candidate is approved to serve, with training made available as needed. Drug tests, medical exams, TB tests and background checks may be required for some positions and are conducted at the agency’s expense.

Liability insurance coverage is provided for active Hazel Pittman Center volunteers and interns.

A business or organization may volunteer either personnel or other services that help Hazel Pittman Center fulfill its mission in some way. Donations may include supplies, event sponsorship, tickets to events, monetary funds, etc. For more information about business/organization volunteering please contact us.
