Pleased to Be Tobacco-Free

It is estimated that tobacco use accounts for 25% of the total economic cost of illness in America. Chemically-dependent patients have a smoking rate that ranges from 80% to 95% in different studies, almost triple the national average. (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8389891). Tobacco is the second major cause of death in the world. It is currently responsible for the death of one in 10 adults worldwide (about 5 million deaths each year).1
